The Toyota Corolla Altis is an affordable and easily maintained compact. Whilst it’s not really going to turn any heads, the Altis is both comfortable and spacious making it a good choice for anyone working around a budget.
The interior of the Altis is comfortable, plush and quite refreshing given the vehicle’s price tag. It’s combination of dark plastic and faux wood trim gives a slightly modern feeling and complements the exemplary buttons and tight fittings that the vehicle showcases. The ergonomics and spacing inside the Altis are also worth mentioning as well as the simple and straightforward controls; all of this combined creates a no fuss and attractive environment.
On the road, the Altis does everything that is required of it: response is immediate, power and acceleration is good and the car maintains a mentionable turn of speed. At corners, the Altis can lean slightly, but generally handles well despite its body roll resistance not really being the best in class. It’s also worth mentioning that the ride can get extremely bumpy in the rear seats on poorly maintained roads which can cause some serious passenger discomfort.
Nevertheless, despite a few minor comfort issues the Altis performs extremely well and is both affordable and extremely economical. Overall, the Altis is a great car for any family just starting off in the car market.
